Story

My name is Rich Vrana, founder of DAWGPARKS.

DAWGPARKS began with the realization that I created something that worked — and worked well. Along with that came a responsibility to do my best to share what I have discovered.

When I brought home two Husky and Border Collie littermates, I was excited and happy, but it wasn't long before those feelings were accompanied by fear and anxiety. I wanted to give them a safe place where they could run, play, explore, and simply be dogs. But it was my job to also keep them safe. What started as a simple solution for my own property quickly became an ongoing project of observation, improvement, and refinement.

The first versions were built from whatever I had on hand. They were functional, but far from a sellable product. As the dogs grew and their needs changed, the system evolved with them. Over time, those early experiments developed into a custom pet containment system designed to provide freedom for pets while giving owners confidence and peace of mind.

Today, DAWGPARKS reflects years of real-world use, testing, and continuous improvement. Every idea, feature, and design decision grew from practical experience with my own dogs and a desire to improve quality but keep it simple and practical.
